Dr. Joseph Musto is the President, Director of Laboratory Medicine, Medical Director and Founder of Microbiology Dx.  Dr. Musto has been involved in laboratory medicine and methods development for clinical testing for over 40 years, with more than 20 publications and 7 issued patents. Dr. Musto earned a B.Sc. in Chemistry, M.Sc. in Organic and Physical Chemistry, the equivalent of an M.Sc. in Biomedical Science, and a Doctorate in Medicinal Chemistry. Dr. Musto is a Board Certified Clinical Laboratory Director, and spent 10 years of pre-and post-doctoral training in clinical laboratory science before establishing his first clinical pathology laboratory in 1979.
